How you can help.

Every shift matters.

Each time you volunteer, you’re helping feed hundreds of neighbors. That means fewer parents skipping meals, fewer children going to school hungry, and more people knowing they’re not alone.

As a Meals of Hope volunteer, you may help:

  • Set up distribution tents and tables
  • Organize and bag food donations
  • Welcome and check in our neighbors
  • Load cars and distribute groceries directly to families
  • Create a positive, dignified environment for all

No experience is necessary!

Our team will provide all the training you need when you arrive.

Grocery

Packing Events

Bring your group of 8 or more volunteers (maximum of 20) to our warehouse and help us prepare food bags for families in need!

During these events, you’ll work together to pack donated items such as canned goods, dry foods, and snacks. Everything you pack will go directly to our community food pantries.

  • Once you’ve chosen a date, contact us to reserve your spot, then begin organizing your volunteers. Most packing events run from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM, Tuesday through Friday, and last 2 hours. Closed-toe shoes are required, and we recommend wearing comfortable clothes.

Volunteers always enjoy the experience—and many teams have fun challenging themselves to pack as many bags as possible, knowing that every extra bag means more families fed!

Whether you’re a returning volunteer or signing up for the first time, your time and effort create meaningful change. Volunteering with Meals of Hope helps neighbors in real, tangible ways. It brings people together and makes our community stronger.

If you’d like to do more, consider donating food, sponsoring a food pantry, coordinating a grocery packing event at our warehouse or hosting a meal packing event.

“Volunteering at the mobile pantry has been incredibly rewarding. Seeing the direct impact we make in our neighbors’ lives each week keeps me coming back.”

– Maria, Volunteer Since 2022

When people show up with purpose,

hope spreads.

The meals you help distribute ripple outward, reaching homes, classrooms, neighborhoods, and lives. Volunteering at a choice or mobile food pantry isn’t just service. It’s a direct, human way to lift up your community.
